Report for August 2009
Its been
quite some time since I have posted a report, its been busy! Bass
fishing has been steady, although there haven't been a ton of big
fish around. plenty of keepers in the 30-32" range. Our 4 hour trips
have been doing well with good catches of stripers on every outing.
surface action has been steady in the mornings and evenings with
acres of busting bass and blues. great light tackle fun. Tuna are
offshore in good numbers as well, not to mention a steady cod bite
of market size fish. Book a day
on the water now!
Report for June 5, 2009
Fishing continues to improve---but I don't know how much better it
can get. The capt's were fishing alone today and the bass bite was
out of this world. 36-42" bass were hitting everything you could
throw at them, especially topwater. Groundfishing continues to be
productive as well.
Fishing Report: June 2, 2009
We got out on our first bass-only trip today, and did well fishing
live mackerel and cut baits. We got on a steady pick of fish up to
34" with the smallest being around 24". Definately a fun day on the
water!
Fishing Report: May 20, 2009
The bass have been in for a while now, as have big schools of
mackerel. Offshore ground fishing is still fine, with fair catches
of cod and haddock. The water is full of bait, including mackerel,
sand eels, and herring. All are promising signs of a great season.
